The first venture at creating a doll of the character Lyra. This was the first project involving drawing, digitizing, and stitching an original embroidery design. There was also experimentation with putting the doll into different environments to photograph her. She was shot in a natural outdoor environment, as well as a simple fabricated set. Putting Lyra into multiple contexts as a toy, a character design showcase, and as a subject of narrative images helped to explore more ways that dolls can be utilized in art.
